May Rucking Challenge
The Challenge:
Ruck an even number of miles (at least 4) at double your normal ruck weight.
Let's do this
This month we remember those we have lost in war.
Pick a person who died in the line of service. It may be a friend, relative, or someone you’ve never met. Write their name in the white portion of your challenge patch.
Load your ruck with double its normal weight (you’re carrying your weight plus the weight of the person on your patch).
For the ruck you must go a minimum of 4 miles (2 miles for you and 2 miles for the person on your patch). If you want to go further, you must ruck an even number of miles (1 for you, 1 for the person on your patch).
Finally, share a story about the person on your patch to at least one other person.
New & Experienced Ruckers:
Double your normal ruck weight.
Ruck Clubs:
Pick a milage that is attainable for the whole group. Give time at some point in the ruck for everyone to share their stories. Maybe over a cold beverage at the end of the ruck?
Bonus:
Plan your route to start or end at a war memorial.
